Following this link will take you to the BBC Bitesize page that outlines some of the advantages of Globalisation. 3) Globalisation: Good or Bad? : The Bad – Child Labour (geographyalltheway.com)
You are now going to research case studies that will help you decide whether or not you believe Globalisation is a good or bad thing for the world. As is often the case in geography, there is no right or wrong answer to this question. We will be looking at examples of the good and the bad.
To begin with you are to produce a detailed case study of an example of child labour. The use of child labour has been cited as one of the major problems with globalisation. You should produce a case study of a reported case of child labour that fits onto a double sided sheet of A4. Your case study should include the 5 W`s, What happened? When did it happen? Where did it happen? Why did it happen? Who was affected by it happening. As you work through your research could you please post any links you find to the discussion board.
Remember, this is only an introduction. We will be looking at many aspects of the globalisation debate in more detail and as you gain more knowledge of the issues, your opinions may change.
